Keepsake

This is a keepsake box belonging to Mnemosyne. The white marble lid is a placeholder for now, until I find just the thing to fill that space. I’m hoping to find a fossil for there. Seems appropriate to me.

It was a slow week, super cold here. The shop has spot heaters, but even so… Almost all of the cutting is done on a wet saw. I wear the blue rubber gloves over a pair of lightweight cotton gardening gloves. It’s surprisingly warm, since it keeps my hands dry. Wet hands are rough when it’s 35º.
